I walked through the lonely roads of the city
Listening to the bark of the stray dogs
It was night and all I could see were the street lights
That were meant to show the way to the pedestrians like me
Though it was night and I was the only one walking down the streets
The lights showed me the way towards my unplanned destination
And even I got puzzled with the route to be chosen
As the destination was not decided because life was a bit chaotic
The reason of the chaos was never known to me
And I, intentionally, never wanted to know about it
Because the reason always hurts the heart
And the healer always sits world apart
Being a poet, I always pen down my pain
Thinking that the person would someday realize the condition of my heart’s ache.
